DEP Commissioner Martin questioned by Assembly Budget Committee Members

On Thursday, DEP Commissioner Martin was questioned by members of the Assembly Budget Committee on a variety of issues.  Assemblyman John Burzichelli focused on permit and emission fees and the transfer of Spill Act funds, Assemblyman Troy Singleton asked whether any site remediation cases have been taken over by the DEP, Assemblywoman Bonnie Watson Coleman asked about the race and ethnicity of the Assistant Commissioners and Directors within the Department and also asked on the status of the Drinking Water Quality Institute.  Other Committee members asked about Sandy recovery efforts and the Passaic River litigation.  To hear the testimony and the questioning click here (May 9 at 2 pm).
