CIANJ Testifies Before Senate Committee on FY 2014..

In its continuing support of the Governor’s proposed budget for FY 2014, the CIANJ testified before the Senate Budget & Appropriations Committee earlier this week and urged the members to continue to push through the tax cuts and reforms the Governor started two years ago.  CIANJ commended both the Governor and the Legislature for their continued bipartisan support on reducing the financial burdens on New Jersey’s businesses.  This budget again includes job creating tax cuts and reforms such as the continued phase out of the Transitional Energy Facility Assessment (TEFA) tax, the use of the single sales factor when determining corporate business taxes, a continued reduction in the gross income tax and tax credits for R&D.  Support was also shown for the increase in education funding which will continue to strengthen our workforce and make NJ more viable in the years to come.  For more information on the budget see here: Budget Information
