A-3680 – “The New Jersey Economic Opportunity Act of 2013” was held in the Assembly Budget Committee yesterday without a vote. The bill’s sponsor, Assemblyman Albert Coutinho, testified about the need to resolve outstanding issues with the legislation prior to the Committee taking a vote. The legislation, which is intended to provide financial incentives for expansion and conversion of certain redevelopment projects, will likely come up for a vote at an upcoming meeting. In the same hearing, NJ’s State Treasurer, Andrew Sidamon-Eristoff, provided the Committee with an update on the latest revenue projections. Budget hearings will dominate the Trenton agenda in the weeks and months ahead.
