Preserving Open Space in New Jersey

There are two concurrent resolutions moving through the Legislature which would divert taxes collected from corporations and redirect them to the preservation of open space. SCR 84 and its counterpart in the Assembly, ACR 130, would divert 6% of the corporate business tax collected and dedicate it to preserving open space.  Resolutions are unique in that they would not need gubernatorial support if passed by both the Assembly and Senate.  Voters would be asked to approve such a diversion when they head to the polls in November.
